Joe was born March 28, 1944 in Imler, PA to Darl S. & Marie Imler. Following his graduation in 1965 from Central Missouri State University, Joe began his career at Blue Cross & Blue Shield in DC & then Geico in Bethesda, MD, in systems education dept.
He was a 50+ year member of Community Lutheran Church. He was also active with the Sterling Park Jaycees, a life time member, the Sterling Lions Club, receiving the highest honor, Melvin Jones Fellow award, Chairman of the Loudoun Parks & Rec, Chairman of The Board for Transportation Federal Credit Union, the Lots of Luck Bass Club & Loudoun County Bassmasters, & TBF Region 1.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife Linda “Hengst” Imler of 58 years, his children Joseph Q. Imler II (and wife Mary) of Sterling, VA & Nicole (husband Alex) of Charles Town, WV.
7 grandchildren Zachary, Brady, Hunter, Jacob, Justina, Matthew & Michael, 5 great grandchildren Damian, Jayden, Amelia, Melody & Axel.
His surviving sister Barbara Saturnino (husband Denny) of Park City, UT, sister in laws Nellie Smith of Imler, PA, Christine Imler of Shellsburg & Carol Hengst of Hazelton, PA along with numerous nieces & nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents & brother Richard Imler.
