Charlie Hughes Adkins

Born and Died in Pike County Kentucky. Wife Irene Ratcliff. to this union were born 7 children, 3 sons, Larry Lee, Jerry Dee, and Perry Lynn; 4 daughters, Sadie Marie Dotson, Minnie Sue Bevins, and Kathy Grey Thornatomy; and Charlene died in infancy.
Charlie joined the Old Regular Baptist Church of Jesus Christ in June 1950. He was a life long member of the Elizabeth Church where he was ordained a minister in 1952, and his gift as a minister made room for him. In his 25 years, he has helped to take care of many churches. Brother Charlie was a man of God that preferred his brothers and sisters before himself. God gave him a talent of love and wisdom. His desire was to see love in the heart of all men and women. On June 29, 1975, Brother Charlie wanted to improve things in his garden, and in the walk on the hillside at the back of his home he made the journey up the hill but on his way back down it pleased Jesus to lighten his load. From all of us the Lord took one we loved so well.
